Add CID Prefix

    Hi everyone,

    Is there a way how I can add a CID prefix somewhere during the call flow?

    I have an IVR with 3 options: Customer Service, Sales & Accounting. I want all 3 options to go to the same extension, (no Queue or Hunt Group, extension direct) how can I add a prefix “Sales” etc when the caller makes a selection?

    I am aware of the CID Modifier section, but apparently you can only tie it to an inbound route, I don’t see how you can create an object with a destination that allows you to tie a CID Modifier.

    Any help appreciated.

    By now there’s nothing out of the box on VitalPBX, however, you may use the custom context add-on for adding prefixes before sending the call to any of your destinations.

    For sure this is a really needed feature since this exactly why many use IVRs.

    Assuming something like:

    [your-stuff]
    exten => s,1,Noop(Adding CID Prefix)
    exten => s,n,Set(CALLERID(name)=Support: ${CALLERID(name)})
    exten => s,n,Goto(your,destination,s,1)
