I activated *58 on an extension and it asked me to enter to extension to forward to followed by the # key. This forwarding worked!
Whenever I dial *58 now, the forwarding to the extension is toggled on/off. With *59 I can set another “forwarding number”, but I can not clear call forwarding.
For now, I deleted the extension and recreated it!
So, is there an easy way do clear the call forwarding, as if it has never been enable on an extension?
Yes, I can configure any other diversion, but that won’t clear, just changed. So you never can go back to the “virgin” situation. I was testing this “forwarding thing” and trying to write a small manual for my users.
It’s smart to ask the user for the forwardinig number the first time he uses *58. But easy use I decided to let the user use *59 first to activate the forwarding number and *58 to toggle the forwarding on/off.
This way it’s consistent to the user. Thanks for your answer.
