I also observed the same.
The sip endpoint starting the call get immediately a “180 ringing”, before the real ringing/progress feedback signaled from the trunk.
I think also that this is a misleading behaviour.
For removing the ringing tone generated by the PBX, first, you need to check what Dial Profile is using the trunk, then, you may go to this module (Settings >> Technology Settings >> Dial Profiles), here, you must edit the dialing profile assigned to the trunk, and disable the option “Ringing Tone”. After this, you must apply changes.
