How to set up a Trunk Group with an access code?

    I have a trunk set up that works fine today.  I want to provide an access code of “8” to access this trunk and strip the “8” when it dials out.

    For example 8740239XXXX strips “8” and output 740239XXXX.  I am attaching my Outbound Route.  I am not sure why this isn’t working.  Thanks.

    You must remove the number 8 from the pattern field

    Prefix: 8
    Pattern: 740239XXXX
