I have issue with Incoming Call Recordings, where it won’t play from CDR report, and when I looked on server side (/var/spool/asterisk/monitor) the files are 1kb.
Recording are enabled for following modules.
Incoming Route – Enable
Extension -> Recording -> Incoming – Enable
Outgoing calls are recorded and played just fine.
What type of trunk are you using?
You must to share a call trace for analyze it.
In other hand, the calls are only recorded after answer the call.
Installed g729, and it started working.
Yes, I was answering calls before as well.

So, as I understanding the issue was related to the codec.
Correct, however issue was just with recording. Both parties were able to hear each other properly.
