    I did a fresh setup once with IncrediblePBX and VitalPBX then with the latest vanilla VitalPBX, I have the same issue. Inbound works great but outbound auto dials after I put in the first 3 digits. so if I want to call 1-360-XXX-XXXX I key in 136 and it dials and says sorry unable to place call. I have been searching around but can’t seem to find the answer.

    CDR log shows as all calls are tagged “Internal”

    You should check your phone configurations and also try to make the call with a softphone, like x-lite or zoipper, because, looks like is an issue with your phone.

    Thanks for the tip, is there a recommended guide for setting up a Digium D62?

    The phone device might be with preconfigured dial plan. Try to call with Zoiper.

    You can turn on sip debug (sip set debug on command in CLI) and check your call.
