Remote Pickup

On my previous Freepbx setup with Grandstream phones, when I set up a BLF button on an endpoint the user could answer a call to that ringing extension.

So if I have a user extension 8023 and 8001.

8001 starts ringing and the BLF flashes on 8023.

If the user on 8023 taps the button then it would pick up the call coming in to 8001.  Vital doesn’t seem to allow this. I figure it is just a setting somewhere, but I don’t know where/what to look for.

There’s not such functionality on VitalPBX, however, you may dial *07 followed by the number you want to answer/pickup

OK you can make this work by changing that feature code from *07 to **

I believe that ** is the Grandstream default for Direct Pickup

You can change the feature’s dialing in the feature codes module

Yeah. Sorry that is what I meant with my previous.  Once I knew what it was called in Vital I could change it.  Works like a charm.

    Thanks.
