    On the current ring groups screen, external numbers can be added.   When a call routes to the ring group and the external number, the external destination does not receive “you have an incoming call.  Press 1 to accept, 2 to deny….”   This is a problem if the external number is a cell phone and that phone is out of range or turned off because the caller is dumped to the voicemail of the external number or cell phone.  In addition, if the destination external number is of an at-home agent, they need the notification as well.

    Can we have the same functionality as provided in the follow-me section of the extension?

    We will add this suggestion to our task manager as a feature request.

    @ing-joserivera26 In addition to this request on the ring group, we need a modification on the follow-me function as well.  For both ring-groups and follow-me groups which include both internal extensions and external numbers, the “You have an incoming call” should not be played to the internal extensions in the group.   This could be an option or permanently set up so the recording is played only to the external call.  It appears that VitalPBX is able to distinguish between internal and external calls, so it is hoped the logic for only playing the recording only to an external number is not difficult.
