Unable to see incoming Fax

VitalPBX Community Support General Discussion Unable to see incoming Fax

  • Post

    Hello,

We have some troubles with the fax add-on by one of our customers. We are based on VitalPBX 2.3.8-3 and fax add-on 1.0.3-2. (I updated it to see if it solves the problem, but without success).

The fax are well received by hylafax :

Nov 13 15:32:00.23: [24496]: RECV send MCF (message confirmation)

Nov 13 15:32:03.89: [24496]: MODEM set baud rate: 0 baud (flow control unchanged)
    Nov 13 15:32:03.89: [24496]: SESSION END

But nothing appears on the Fax Viewer (and nobody receives an email).

I can see the tif file in /var/spool/hylafax/recvq and it seems to be ok !

So I think there is something strange between there and VitalPBX.

    Any idea ?

    BR

    Steve

Do you have a license for this add-on?

If it helps, the process I undertook was to uninstall from the command line via SSH, cleaned the cache, and then installed from the GUI.

If your server is public, you can send me the SSH and Web GUI credentials for checking what is happening with the fax module.

You may send the information to this email: miguel@vitalpbx.com

I am having the same problem. I have reinstalled the add-on wih no success.  The faxes show up in the recvd folder but do not populate in the fax viewer and no email is sent. I am version 2.4.0-2 VitalPBX and Asterisk 16.6.2-1. My server is publicly accessible and I can provide access.

We’ve released a new version of the Virtual Faxes add-on, so, you may update from the add-ons module. You may check if is working as expected after updates.
