Remember that the port to display the data in the panel in https is different than in httpd.

    http: 3000 TCP

    https: 3005 TCP

    Check your firewall.

The VitalPBX comes with two websockets for the dashboard

    HTTP:  3000

    HTTPS: 3005

You must open the port 3005 on your firewall (On your router or VPS firewall) to be able to seed the dashboard over HTTPS.

Assuming there is a firewall between your PC and the PBX, you need to allow the ports mentioned above.

You don’t need to change any ports.

You need to make sure that the ports mentioned above is allowed on the VPN connection.

You may want to do a packet capture to see what it happening.

Seems that you are using the stock self-signed server certificate for https but no modern web browser accept websokets reponse from untrusted sources.

Open web developer tools -> network in mozillla firefox… hopefully you will see the error.

it would work with Firefox as well if you would use a lets encrypt certificate for example.
