Piggy backing off this because I have the same issue. Adding the FDQN to the settings didn’t solve the issue. I get a “404 Not Found” before and after I populated the ‘Public Domain’ field in the settings. Also, the QR code opens in safari, where I think it should be the VitXi app instead.

Can someone point me in the right direction please? It seems like the contact import for mobile devices is implemented in the VitalPBX system, but I’m unable to get it working.

    Thanks!

    Thanks, that’s working.

Is there a similar process for populating the user’s email, or no? I was asking just in case, thanks a bunch!

This is what’s showing up in the email. Please let me know what I’m doing wrong.

I can’t actually get this to work. The email has ${FEATURESPWD} directly in the text. It is not populating correctly. What am I doing wrong?

Also, is the user’s email available in a similar way?

    @CD

Try and use the log viewer in the VitalPBX Admin Console [tools -> log file viewer]

The ‘full’ log will be the verbose debug information. You can choose how many lines to display and refresh as you  make calls to perform troubleshooting and tests. This should help figure out which devices are communicating correctly with the system and which are not.

    Hope this helps

I can confirm that the csv no longer errors out after the update to 3.0.6-2, but not all values on the csv are getting updated in the system accordingly. The codecs data didn’t upload or update, as well as the max number of contacts. In addition, the welcome letter was sent and users were successfully placed in queues.

Like what’s mentioned above in others’ posts, I also noticed the columns mismatching. I think that’s the culprit to the problem I had because if you download the import template and export extensions, the codecs column is the first one that is out of sync between the export and import file.

Any help or information is greatly appreciated!

Me and my team are experiencing the same thing with the import erroring out. Going to try again after an upgrade to 3.0.6-2.

Is there anything special to get the csv import functioning after the upgrade? It seems like it just needs a double check that the column headings are correct. I’ve noticed the difference in number of columns between the import and export csvs as well.

I found what I was looking for. I will probably have an example to post here this week once I get the API working.

    EDIT:

Here’s how you get the API key

I’m interested in using the API as well. Where do I find/generate my API key? I’ve looked in the admin console and can’t seem to find it.

^ I don’t really see how this is showing how to use the API. There’s a link in the ‘Notes’ section of that page titled ‘API Documentation’ that points to this link -> https://rebrand.ly/qnwtalw but I don’t seem to have access. Does anyone know how I’ll be able to view that or any API documentation?

    Thanks,

    Andrew

So as I imagined, my lack of call queue knowledge was ultimately the reason for my problems. Calls are being routed correctly, I was confused on the ‘Code’ associated with the queue, and was entering it in at the wrong time in the process.

The beta version of VitalPBX has a feature that allows the QR code of an extension and it’s associated device to be sent in a welcome email via the csv import. It works for both editing and updating users, and is very promising. Big thanks to the VitalPBX Team!

At this point I’m wondering how much farther I can extend this functionality. Would it be possible to call the function that performs the email being sent, by asterisk and/or linux shell? I’m open to any and all suggestions and discussions.

    Thanks,

    Andrew
